Welcome to the offical GK'S GALLERY ENGINE website!
GK's Gallery Engine is a small and easy-to-use PHP gallery. Just upload it to
your home page, copy the pictures you want in into a subdirectory you want, and
it will do the rest instead you. It supports generating thumbnails, caching them, directory
previews, directory navigation, commenting files and directories, and many other things. Gallery
Engine 2 is postcardware: If you like it, write a postcard to my address:
Gruber Kristóf, Győr, Baross Gábor út 79/A, H-9024 HUNGARY. Anyway, you can download
and use it freely.
Here is an example
how it works and how it looks like (my best photos).

DOWNLOAD
361 downloads since 18th March 2007.
REQUIREMENTS
PHP4, compiled with GDlib2.0 support. No MySQL required, galleries are created
just in runtime. If you want to use thumbnail cache, you should set the permissions
of the directories containing the images to let Apache create files there.
INSTALLATION
Just unpack where you want, and create a directory for your pictures. Then set
config.php how you like. Sorry, but no documentation is available, 'cause I'm too lazy to
write one at the moment. If something does not work, yes, it's my fault, and I
apologize for it. ;) If you don't like the gallery, just delete it and use some
PHP/MySQL/whole-serverfarm-monster thingy instead...
KNOWN BUGS
Well... There is a lot of them. But I'm too lazy to write them all here... :P
FUTURE
Gallery3 with a lot of new features rewritten from scratch. It will be faster, easier to use, and
will have features such as page turning, slideshow, skins, embedded video support, better error handling,
etc... It might be finished in Q3 2007. Oh, I almost forgot: this is the last version of Gallery 2.x.
